On 14 November 2023, ROBOMINERS held its final conference in Brussels. Titled “The future of mining in Europe – Minimising the environmental footprint through breakthrough technological innovations”, the session was organised as a side event of the EU Raw Materials Week.
The ROBOMINERS project is officially ending on 30 November and project partners presented main outcomes of their work. In addition, the event also offered the opportunity to discuss the technological future of mining in Europe. Representatives of other EU-funded projects debated the most promising technological developments allowing the sector to minimise the environmental impact of mineral extraction while highlighting the importance of EU research in this area.
