Geo-Montan Ltd. is a mineral exploration company based in Budapest, Hungary. The main activities of the company include studies and surveys related to mining, geology, ecology and renewable energies. The firm was founded in 1982 as the first private enterprise specialized in geological services in Hungary. The founders were motivated to map the mineral sources of “Carpathian-basin”, its raw material possibilities for utilization and to research of geological factors as environment protective features. In the last 30 years the company has extended its expertise for environmental impact assessment, research for mineral sources, prospecting raw materials, mapping, consulting, geological researching and explorations, planning, carrying out and monitoring geological, geophysical and hydrological projects, preparing environment protection studies, supervision and condition evaluation.
